On 14th December 2016 the VULKANO project partners arrived to the city of Zaragoza (Spain), to take part in the first Steering Committee of the project. The project coordinator, CIRCE, hosted the event at their facilities, located in the university campus.
Near 30 representatives of the different companies and research centers that compose VULKANO’s consortium attended the two-day meeting. The Steering Committee allowed the partners to present the evolution of their respective works after the first months of execution.
The first day was completed with a working session with two main objectives. On the one hand to provide overview of the market analysis structure and collect feedback from partners on the target market segments.
On the other hand, to analyze the VULKANO integrated solution (exploitable result), through a dedicated workshop where both the solution developers and end users had the chance to come up with the different perspectives.
Afterwards all this information will be integrated into the market analysis report that will be delivered in the first year of execution.
During the second day, specific working sessions on the different technologies to be applied at the pilot sites were held to discuss technical details. For example, one of the most relevant tasks will be the collection of the necessary data (drawings, materials, burners and details) of the burners in order to prepare and validate the CFD model.
The partners agreed the procedures and guidelines to follow the upcoming months. It is to point out that the project monitor attended a consortium meeting for the first time, being able to evaluate the progress of the ongoing tasks and to support the partners towards the challenging objectives of VULKANO.
